Andrew Nelson
Andy originally hails from Apple Valley, Minnesota, where he comes from a musical family. He received a BM in music with a focus in jazz studies from De Paul University Chicago in 1997. Since then andy has enjoyed a busy schedule as a freelance musician visiting over 30 countries and five continents. Living in New York for two years, Andy also worked as a recording engineering where his credits include a Latin jazz album La Onda Va Bien where he is featured soloist on flute. Andy has also recorded as a studio musician an appears on several recordings including appearances with Mike Stern, Jimmy Haslip and Bob Mintzer. He currently resides in St. Paul where he is on faculty with the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and works as a freelance musician.
